A Northern Beaches Wedding Celebrant Who Makes It Personal.
After more than a decade of marrying couples, one thing I know for sure is that every couple wants a ceremony that feels natural, personal and conveys a little something about who they are.
It doesn't matter if it's an intimate ceremony overlooking the ocean or a grand celebration at one of the Northern Beaches' beautiful wedding venues, the ceremony I create for you will be thoughtful, relaxed and unmistakably yours.
Since 2014, I've been marrying couples all over the Northern Beaches, from Palm Beach to Manly, Long Reef and beyond. And I always love how, within such a short distance from the city, the pace slows and the scenery takes over. Breathtaking ocean views, sweeping headlands, beautiful beaches and that unmistakable holiday atmosphere make it feel like you've travelled much further than you actually have.
Northern Beaches weddings feel like a destination wedding without the flights, accommodation logistics or need to take a week off work.
I’ve had the pleasure of marrying couples at beautiful Northern Beaches venues including Long Reef Golf Club, Pasadena, Manly Pavilion, Jonah’s at Whale Beach and Barrenjoey House. From sunset vows and waves crashing in the background to intimate ceremonies with sand between our toes, each celebration has its own magic, framed by some of Sydney’s most breathtaking ocean and waterfront views.
That's what makes weddings on the Northern Beaches so appealing to couples. They can embrace the relaxed coastal atmosphere without compromising on the style or significance of their wedding.
Finding the right setting for your ceremony
The venue you choose plays a big part in setting the tone for your wedding. A relaxed ceremony on a headland overlooking the ocean feels very different from a more formal celebration at an elegant waterfront venue.
When we talk about your wedding, we'll discuss your personalities, the atmosphere you want to create and what matters most to you. I'll use that to shape a ceremony that feels right for you, and if you're still deciding where to get married, I can help you explore venues and locations that complement the celebration you have in mind.
Over the years, I've had the pleasure of working at some of the best-known Northern Beaches wedding locations, each with its own personality and vibe.

My experience with Northern Beaches weddings
There’s something special about leading a wedding ceremony on the Northern Beaches. Whether we’re overlooking the ocean or gathered beside Pittwater, I love bringing everyone’s attention back to the couple—their story, their laughter and the promises they’re making. The setting creates the atmosphere, but it’s those personal moments that make the ceremony theirs.
Pilu at Freshwater, Freshwater
At Pilu, the garden overlooking Freshwater Beach gives a ceremony a lovely intimacy. I love how close everyone feels, with the ocean beyond us and family and friends catching every smile, laugh and wobble in the vows.
Long Reef Golf Club, Collaroy
At Long Reef, the open ocean brings a wonderful sense of freedom to the ceremony. Leading a couple through their vows with the sea stretching out behind them feels joyful and expansive, while the words we share keep the moment deeply personal.
Pasadena Sydney, Church Point
Pasadena’s Pittwater setting gives the ceremony a gentle, unhurried feeling. I love drawing everyone into the couple’s story here, with the water behind us and that lovely mix of laughter and emotion rippling through the guests.
Manly Pavilion, Manly
At Manly Pavilion, the harbour becomes part of the atmosphere without taking attention away from the couple. There’s a beautiful shift when the guests settle, I begin their story, and a lively waterfront celebration becomes a moment of real closeness.
Q Station, Manly
Q Station has a tucked-away feeling that makes a ceremony feel like a little world of its own. I love the sense of togetherness here, as everyone gathers around the couple and the emotion builds from the opening words to that enormous cheer at the end.
Jonah’s, Whale Beach
At Jonah’s, the view over Whale Beach creates a sense of occasion before the ceremony even begins. What I love is bringing that big, breathtaking setting into a small, tender moment- two people facing each other, taking a breath and saying what matters most.
BYRA, Bayview
BYRA’s relaxed waterfront character gives a ceremony an easy, welcoming feel. I love matching that atmosphere with words that sound like the couple - sometimes funny, sometimes emotional, and always grounded in who they are together.
Harbord Hotel, Freshwater
Harbord Hotel brings a relaxed, sociable energy to a wedding celebration. I love carrying that warmth into the ceremony, making everyone feel welcome before bringing the focus gently onto the couple and the meaning behind their vows.
The Boathouse Shelly Beach, Manly
Shelly Beach brings an easy warmth to a ceremony. I love leading celebrations here that leave room for laughter, happy tears and the couple simply being themselves, with the beach close by and their favourite people gathered around them.
Dunes Palm Beach, Palm Beach
At Dunes, the coastal surroundings give the celebration a lovely holiday feeling. That relaxed atmosphere carries into the ceremony, making space for warm storytelling, spontaneous laughter and vows that feel honest and heartfelt.
Barrenjoey House, Palm Beach
Barrenjoey House has a warmth that suits a personal, story-filled ceremony. I love creating that feeling of being gathered among friends, where a familiar detail about the couple can have everyone laughing one moment and reaching for tissues the next.
The Mona Social, Mona Vale
At The Mona Social, the views and open outlook give the ceremony a bright, joyful feeling. I love building on that energy, bringing guests into the couple’s story so they feel part of the celebration from the very beginning.
Silkari Mirage at Newport, Newport
With Pittwater behind us, a ceremony at Silkari Mirage feels like a pause from everyday life. I love guiding the couple into that moment when they stop thinking about everything happening around them and simply enjoy standing together, ready to make their promises.
The Builders Club, Dee Why
At The Builders Club, the warmth comes from the people in the room. I love filling that space with the couple’s story, shared memories and heartfelt words, creating a ceremony where guests feel connected and the couple feels surrounded by love.
Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay, Newport
The Pittwater setting brings a lovely sense of escape to a ceremony at Royal Motor Yacht Club. I love drawing everyone together around the couple, turning a beautiful waterfront gathering into a shared moment of affection, laughter and anticipation.
Planning an outdoor wedding ceremony
A coastal wedding can be wonderful, but the ceremony needs to work for more than just the photographs.
It's worth thinking about where guests will sit, whether everyone can hear the ceremony, the position of the sun, wind exposure and what happens if the weather changes.
If you're considering a ceremony on a public beach, reserve or headland, check the relevant council or land manager's permit requirements before confirming your arrangements.
And make sure you have a backup for weather. Outdoor ceremonies can be windy, extremely hot and/or rainy. Having a backup is not only a nice idea. It’s mandatory to ensure you and your guests are comfortable and fully engaged, not distracted by the elements.
