Southern Highlands weddings: celebrant and MC with 20 years of experience

INTRO

There's something about a Southern Highlands wedding. The air feels fresher, the pace drops a gear and the whole day takes on a little extra magic. Couples who choose to marry here usually have a clear vision: a celebration that feels relaxed, beautifully considered and completely their own.

I've been marrying couples across the Southern Highlands since 2014 and have had the pleasure of working at many of the region's standout venues. I know the lay of the land, how these properties run and what it takes to create a ceremony that feels right at home in the setting, warm, engaging, personal and with just the right amount of fun.

So, if you're planning a Southern Highlands wedding and want a ceremony that lives up to the location, here's what working with me looks like.

Venues I know well

Knowing a venue makes a real difference. It means understanding how the light falls, how the ceremony space feels, how guests move through the property and how the whole day tends to unfold.

Those little details are hard to pick up from a website or brochure, but they can make all the difference when it comes to creating a ceremony that feels effortless and completely at home in its surroundings.

These are some of the Southern Highlands venues I've had the pleasure of working at.

Bendooley Estate

One of the Southern Highlands' most iconic wedding venues, and for good reason. Whether it's the Book Barn or the grounds themselves, every wedding here feels timeless. Couples always seem to relax the moment they arrive, and I've been part of some incredibly emotional ceremonies beneath those beautiful old trees.

Centennial Vineyards

If your dream wedding includes rolling vines and incredible views, Centennial Vineyards is hard to beat. I remember one ceremony where the clouds rolled in just as the couple exchanged vows, creating the most dramatic backdrop that looked incredible in the photos.

Growwild Wildflower Farm

Growwild has a relaxed, natural feel that guests settle into immediately. Every season brings something different, and the walk through the gardens after the ceremony always creates beautiful candid moments.

Mali Brae Farm

Mali Brae has a wonderful balance of country charm and polished elegance. The team there are incredibly organised, which means couples can genuinely enjoy the day without worrying about the schedule. Sunset here is something really special.

Milton Park Country House

Milton Park feels like stepping into another era. The gardens are stunning and there's a real sense of occasion from the moment guests arrive. One of my favourite memories was finishing a ceremony just as golden afternoon light filled the gardens. It felt like something from a film.

Peppers Manor House

Peppers Manor House has that classic Southern Highlands atmosphere that so many couples are searching for. The grounds photograph beautifully and everything flows naturally from ceremony to reception. One of those venues where the whole day feels effortless.

Briars Conservatory

The Conservatory at Briars is filled with natural light, making it a beautiful space no matter the weather. Ceremonies here feel intimate even with a larger guest list. It creates a genuinely warm atmosphere that people remember.

Eling Forest Winery

Perfect for couples wanting vineyard energy without losing that relaxed country feel. I remember one wedding where the wedding party wandered through the vines after the ceremony while guests enjoyed canapés on the lawn. It captured everything people love about Highlands weddings.

Somerley House

Elegant without ever feeling over the top. The heritage home and gardens create a beautiful backdrop for ceremonies, and there's a real sense of exclusivity that makes couples feel like they have the entire estate to themselves.

Greyleigh

One of my favourite venues anywhere in NSW. Every corner of the property is beautiful, from the gardens through to the reception spaces. One wedding there finished with guests dancing under festoon lights while the sun disappeared over the hills. One of those nights nobody wanted to end.

Caoura Cliffs

One of the region's best-kept secrets. The escarpment views are breathtaking and there's a real sense of privacy that's hard to find elsewhere. There's something about venues that make everyone stop when they first see the ceremony location, and Caoura Cliffs definitely does that.

What to expect

Every ceremony I create is written from scratch. I take the time to get to know you, your story and personalities and the kind of atmosphere you want to create. The result is a ceremony that sounds and feels like you, rather than some generic version of what a wedding ceremony is supposed to be.

For Southern Highlands weddings, we can handle everything remotely in the lead-up. I'll liaise with your venue team, photographer and other suppliers, answer any questions along the way and fine-tune the script until everything feels just right.

Then, on the day, I'll arrive with everything covered so you can relax, take it all in and enjoy the moment.

Travel and availability

The Southern Highlands is around 90 minutes from Sydney, comfortably within my regular travel range. Travel costs apply and are outlined in your personalised quote.

I'm also available for weddings in the Hunter Valley, South Coast and other destination weddings. If you have a location in mind, get in touch and we can work out the details.
